REBLLEGAL
Equality & Inclusion
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Our purpose
REBL is a curated community for women and non-binary founders. These founders are under-represented in founder and investor networks and receive a disproportionately small share of UK venture funding. REBL exists to help close that gap by giving them access to peers, introductions, expertise and opportunities.
Restricting membership in this way is a deliberate positive action measure under section 158 of the Equality Act 2010. We keep it under review to make sure it remains a proportionate way of addressing that disadvantage. Men and other guests are welcome as speakers, investors, advisers, partners and guests at REBL events.
How we choose members
Membership is not automatic. Prospective members may be invited to join or considered after an application or a conversation with the REBL team. Every decision is made by a person, not automatically.
We may consider factors such as founder and entrepreneurial status, the nature and stage of the business, alignment with the purpose of the community, and the contribution we believe a prospective member could make to, and receive from, REBL.
Equal treatment
We are committed to treating members, prospective members, guests and partners fairly and with respect.
We do not tolerate unlawful discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation on grounds including age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
Accessibility
We want every member to be able to take part fully in REBL. We will make reasonable adjustments for disabled members and prospective members, and encourage you to tell us about any accessibility needs for events or community participation. We’ll only ask for what we need and handle it in line with our Privacy Notice.
Events and community spaces
Members, guests, sponsors and partners must behave respectfully and in line with the REBL Community Guidelines.
Harassment, discriminatory behaviour or conduct that undermines the safety or dignity of other participants may lead to removal from an event or action under the Membership Terms.
Raising a concern
If you believe you have experienced discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment in connection with REBL, please contact membership@reblventures.co, or privacy@reblventures.co if you’d prefer it to go to a different person.
We will consider concerns fairly, sensitively and as promptly as we reasonably can.
